Overview
LeanTrack™ is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the LeanTrack™ iOS app.
The short version: your personal health data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us. We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash reports solely to improve app stability.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal information including:
- Your name, email address, or any contact information
- Your weight, body measurements, or health data
- Your location or device identifiers
- Usage analytics or behavioural data
Data Storage
All data you enter into LeanTrack™, including your weight entries, body measurements, and profile information, is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
HealthKit
LeanTrack™ requests read-only access to Apple HealthKit to display your steps, active calories, and walking distance. We only read this data to display it within the app. We do not write to HealthKit, and we do not transmit HealthKit data anywhere. Your HealthKit data is governed by Apple's HealthKit privacy guidelines.
Notifications
If you enable weight reminders, LeanTrack™ schedules local notifications on your device. These are handled entirely by iOS and do not involve any external servers or services.
Exercise Data
LeanTrack™ fetches exercise names, descriptions, and images from wger.de, a free and open-source fitness database. This is a read-only request — no personal data, health information, or user identifiers are transmitted to wger.de. Exercise data is cached on your device for up to 7 days to minimise network usage.
Crash Reporting
LeanTrack™ uses Firebase Crashlytics (provided by Google) to collect anonymous crash reports and device diagnostics. This data is used solely to identify and fix bugs in the app. It is not linked to your identity and is never used for advertising or marketing purposes. Third-Party Services
LeanTrack™ uses the following third-party services:
- Firebase Crashlytics (Google) — anonymous crash reporting to improve app stability
- wger.de — open-source exercise database for workout exercise data and images
No advertising SDKs or data brokers are used.
Children's Privacy
LeanTrack™ is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
